I'm a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor through the Original Intuitive Eating Pros, and a Certified Pilates Teacher through Polestar Pilates, and I've built my business and love of coaching into online and in-person studio.
Intuitive Eating wasn’t always my approach. I started out practicing from the “traditional” health and fitness model – recommending portion sizes and calorie levels, creating strick exercise plans, and tracking my client’s weight. It worked for a little while but over time I realized that, despite mine and my client’s best efforts, no one was able to maintain the “lifestyle changes” that I believed I was teaching. Inevitably most of my clients would go back to their prior eating habits and feel like they failed. I too felt like a failure – how come I couldn’t help them?
Everything changed after I realized how to eat with freedom and became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
We are all born intuitive eaters, meaning we are all born with the innate ability to know what to eat, how much, and when to stop - without the need to follow a fad diet, or rules from another person.
My prior approach wasn’t working for people in the long term. I was telling people to listen to their bodies, yet I was giving them prescriptive plans. I was saying, “listen to your hunger and fullness cues” yet I was suggesting they not go more than X hours without eating or working out. Everything we worked on still revolved around external, rather than internal, cues. This kept them stuck in the restrictive diet, yo-yo weight, no-pain-no-gain cycle, – limiting foods or food portions, followed by overeating or “failing”, which led to guilt and then want to get “back on the wagon”. Clearly, this wasn’t working.
I now offer a coaching program on intuitive eating and the non-diet, Health at Every Size Approach, and a movement program based on the Polestar Pilates Method of Movement, a pain-free, natural movement approach. Once I started combining these approaches with my clients, everything shifted...

Challenge the Food Police, and Media Influencers
Everywhere you turn, especially in a social media saturated world, you will find more and more diet rules. That you are being “good” if you eat a salad and “bad” if you eat a cookie. Learn to shout a resounding “no” to the Food Police – that voice inside your head that holds on to any diet rules and judges you in every food choice you make, that likes to drive the dieting cycle with guilt and shame.

We’ll start with a full assessment where we’ll discuss your goals and explore your relationship with food, movement, and body image throughout your life, including your diet history, current eating behaviors, and more.
These coaching session are 30-minutes long video or in-person sessions generally take place every week (*45-minute sessions every other week is an option). I coach people Worldwide online or In-Person at KC Studio in Keene NH. Each follow-up will have a topic of focus, interactive exercises, discussion and processing and handouts to support you between sessions.
Hand-selected for you based upon your needs and preferred learning style. After each session, you’ll get an email recap including notes from that days call along with tools to help implement our work between sessions.
I will review your Online Intuitive Eating Journal weekly and provide feedback and support in between sessions, even if it's a week that you don't have a coaching session.
You’ll have support and guidance from me between sessions with unlimited email access for any questions or concerns that come up (or if you just need a place to vent).

If you want to get ripped and beach-body-ready. This process isn’t about how you look. It’s about long-term, sustainable health, and giving your body the nourishment and movement it needs to work at its best.
We are born natural intuitive eaters. Babies cry, they eat, they stop until they’re hungry again. Kids innately balance out their food intake, eating when they’re hungry and stopping once they feel full. As we grow older and rules and restrictions are set around food, we lose our inner intuitive eater. We learn to finish everything on our plate. We learn that dessert is a reward, or can be taken away if we misbehave.
Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach to wellness that helps you break the cycle of dieting, heal your relationship with food, and get back in touch with the intuitive eater inside of you. Intuitive eating is not a diet. It’s a way to learn to eat outside of the diet mentality, with a focus on using your own internal hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues to guide eating choices. But it’s much more than just the ‘hunger-fullness diet’ – we will explore your food beliefs, behaviors, and self-talk while delving deep into what food means to youIf you are exhausted and ready to ditch diets, stricked meal plans, counting calories, carbs, points, or macros, it's for you.
Great news: is not a diet! Not only do diets not work – you’re either “on” them or “off” them, right? – they’re the root of many of your problems. 90 to 95 percent of diets fail, yet you blame yourself, not the diet. In reality, it’s the process of dieting that is the problem. Dieting increases your risk of gaining even more weight than you lost.
Intuitive eating is different.
While many of our clients are not happy in their bodies and would like to lose weight, this is not the focus or goal of our sessions. Weight loss must be put on the back burner as you go through the Intuitive Eating process. If you are focused on losing weight, you’ll undermine the Intuitive Eating process. We will certainly talk about your desire to change your weight, and your feelings about your body, but you will not be weighing in and we will not be using weight as an indicator of success or progress.
Some people naturally lose weight during this process, and others don’t. If you have been eating for emotional reasons or not paying attention to your intuitive signals, or if you’ve gone through a lifestyle change that caused unnatural weight gain, it’s likely that you’re not at your natural healthy weight right now. As you go through the intuitive eating process and heal your body from the diet mentality, your weight will stabilize at the place it is meant to be.
It depends. Intuitive eating is the opposite of dieting. While dieting is easy at the beginning and gets harder (or impossible) as time goes on, intuitive eating is much tougher up front. It seems simple (eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full) but it’s more complicated. You have to undo all of the diet mentality and food rules in your head, get rid of your internal food police, and create new habits. It takes a lot of time and introspection. But while it’s hard at first, once eating normally becomes actually normal, you’ll reach a place of eating and caring for yourself intuitively – for life.
Life does not have a pause button. There’s never going to be a period time where things are suddenly easier. Often we throw the baby out with the bathwater and if we can’t do it all the way, we don’t do anything. Intuitive eating is not about perfection – that’s the beauty of it! Many of my clients are busy professionals, moms with days that are non-stop, or people who travel constantly. When you work with me you’ll learn how to make changes – and maintain them – in the midst of your normal, busy, life. We take care of our families and others we love, so why not do something to take care of ourselves?
Healing your food and body issues is deep, brave, and oftentimes scary work. This is a very normal concern. It’s important to recognize that it is the dieting mentality that causes overeating and binging. Once you learn to make peace with all foods – and your body knows you can have these foods whenever you want – you’ll be able to truly listen to your body’s feelings of hunger, fullness and satisfaction.
Now it’s time to make a decision. You can do nothing, and be exactly where you are 6 months from today. Or, you can stop straining your body through food restriction & relearn how to honor your bodies natural instincts around food.
